How we work

A rights-based, community-driven approach

Everything we do is gender-responsive, women-centred, and grounded in the communities we serve — with women and girls leading at every step.

Rights-based

Grounded in human rights principles — participation, non-discrimination, accountability, and equality.

Gender-responsive

Designed around the distinct needs, experiences, and realities of women and girls.

Women-centred

Women and girls lead in programme design, implementation, monitoring, and advocacy.

Community-driven

Working with communities, leaders, and structures to build ownership and lasting change.

Partnership & collective action

We work hand-in-hand with government, health facilities, community structures, civil society organizations, and other partners — strengthening sustainability and collective action so that progress for women and girls lasts well beyond any single programme.

Who we serve

Working alongside the people who shape change

WOGRI primarily works with women and girls — and with everyone whose actions shape whether their rights are realised.

Women and girls, including vulnerable women and girls
Adolescent girls and young women
Adolescents and young people
Communities and community structures
Women’s rights advocates and community champions
Health workers and service providers

And the decision-makers

We also engage policy-makers, duty bearers, health authorities, and other relevant stakeholders — because lasting change happens when institutions, services, and policies respond to the needs and rights of women and girls.
